Oakley entered the orphanage at about 6 months of age. He could visually move and follow the moving object, could hold his head up while lying on the stomach, turn his head over when called, laugh aloud when teased, transfer from supine position to lateral position, stretch his hands out to reach the objects in front of him consciously or knew to play with hands consciously, and c distinguish the caretaker's sounds. At the age of 1year, he could recognize the familiar people, was very interested in the objects which could make sound, could roll over, csit alone, and make sound sunconsciously. At the age of 18months, he could sit alone without any supports. At the age of 2 years, he could walk alone, respond to the facial expressions of adults, eat biscuit without help, and knew simple languages. At the age of 3years, he could go upstairs and downstairs with hands holding onto handrails. At the age of 4 years, he could run, go upstairs and downstairs without help, throw the ball, jump off with feet, take off his shoes alone, have a meal with the spoon and the bowl with hand, and express when he wants to go to toilet. At the age of 6 years, he could go up stairs one foot per step.

Oakley is now 7 and can stand on one foot alone for 5 seconds, can do standing long jump, can jump off the floor with both feet, can walk with holding a cup full of water, can button or unbutton, and can put on and take off clothes without help. He can't speak, but can understand the aunt's instructions, or the words on the criticism and praise, can express "yes" by making sound of ah, en and heng. He is fond of playing games with children. He is a little introverted, sometimes a little obstinate, stubborn, has a ready smile, and is fond of listening to music, jumping, playing sports and playing the slide.
