Child's Code: Lena
Birth Date: 11/12/2005
Gender: Female
Description: *This child was formerly on the shared list*

From April 2011:

Lena received careful care after admission and has adapted to the living in this institute gradually. As she grew older we found that her physical capacity and mental development were all delayed compared to kids of similar age, and the flexibility and coordination of her body were not so good. The symptoms of her cerebral palsy became apparent gradually and was associated with intermittent epilepsy which has been controlled by taking medicine all the time. In recent years with the incessant efforts and help of this institute and foster parents, she has learned to use simple words to express her own will gradually, has learned to walk alone, put on or take off unlined clothes and shoes, can go up and down stairs, her coordination improved somewhat. Now she plays games with foster parents every day to practice her motor ability and speech development during the games. This institute will also offer her rehabilitative evaluation regularly and establish rehabilitative plan in order to improve her ability and have a better life.

Lena is quiet, optimistic, whenever you see her she waves her hands to you with a smile on her face to show you her friendliness. She is willing to play toys with kids, will smile proactively and act like a spoiled child in her arms when seeing the familiar person. Seeing a stranger she will cry noisily because she does not know him/her, but when she is familiarized with you gradually she is more than willing to allow you to tease her. She is willing to share toys with you, when playing gladly she can laugh aloud to you. She is a happy little girl.
