Sweet seven-year-old Grayson is making remarkable progress in his skills and abilities! In his videos, one can see his heart-melting smile and hear his sweet voice. He walks, goes up and down the stairs, follows adults’ commands, answers questions, plays, has fun, and feeds himself. Grayson is doing great; his most significant need is placement in a loving and caring family environment!
Grayson no longer needs inhalation therapy with corticosteroids for his asthma! He is becoming increasingly stable, and he can walk longer distances.
Grayson demonstrates interest in the events happening around him. He understands verbal instructions. Grayson’s vocabulary improves each week, he understands most of what is said but has difficulties pronouncing words. On top of that, Grayson can follow simple, 2-3 step instructions.
Grayson is emotional and sociable. For instance, he likes when a familiar adult speaks to him and independently seeks interactions with adults and children. Grayson also demonstrates interest in musical toys and sounds. Most of the time, he is calm and happy, interested in different activities.
When called by his name, Grayson answers. Although he still wears diapers, Grayson is currently potty trained with some success.
Precious Grayson has cerebral palsy and will benefit from a loving, caring adoptive family that can help him reach his highest potential. If you are interested in adopting Grayson, please get in touch with our Bulgaria team.
CCAI’s Bulgaria Program
CCAI placed its first Bulgarian child in 2015, and the program has grown ever since! Like most intercountry adoption programs today, Bulgaria places older children, children with special medical needs, and sibling groups. The most significant “need” is for families open to children eight and above and children with medical conditions. In fact, families open to children 9+ or younger children with Down syndrome can be matched in as little as 3-6 months from dossier submission!
CCAI’s parent preparation resources give families the tools to welcome a special child into their hearts and home. The Bulgaria program is running strong, and CCAI warmly invites families to view just a few of the many children waiting for their forever families.
