Gus is an energetic and curious little 2-year-old toddler who loves to engage with the world around him. He enjoys dancing and singing and is highly vocal, often expressing himself through movement and sound. He is social and open to meeting new people—he may take a moment to observe, but he quickly warms up and interacts easily.

Gus has a strong appetite and enjoys a variety of foods, especially fruit and biscuits. He drinks 120 ml of formula in the morning and evening and eats congee for lunch. While he isn’t picky, he prefers solid foods over soup and has a habit of tasting each item before finishing his meal. His once frequent drooling has significantly improved since October 2024 and now only occurs when he is deeply focused on an activity.
He is making great progress in his development. Since starting weekly early intervention therapy in July 2024, Gus has received occupational, physical, and speech therapy. He recognizes his name and follows simple commands like “take the toy,” “sit properly,” and “take off your shoes.” He is beginning to imitate speech, saying words like “open” and “close,” and he occasionally mimics animal sounds, such as a cat’s meow. Though he primarily communicates through gestures and vocalizations, he continues to build his language skills.
Like many children his age, Gus can be strong-willed and express frustration when his needs aren’t met. He may stomp his feet, shout, or cry, but he responds well to a firm and calm approach. He understands boundaries and can be redirected with other objects or activities.
Gus is an independent little one—he can remove his own shoes and eat on his own. With his natural curiosity, bright spirit, and growing communication skills, Gus is making wonderful strides
