Lily Nie is considered a prominent leader and orphan advocate in the international adoption and children service community. As co-Founder of CCAI, Lily has worked tirelessly since 1992 to unite over 13,000 children with their forever families. Through her and Joshua’s vision, CCAI has also made it possible for thousands of adopted children and their families to receive continuous cultural and emotional support through The Park’s Joyous Chinese Cultural Center, XpressYourself, and Adopteen programs.
Lily was born in China, earning a law degree and working as a business attorney prior to immigrating to the US in 1987. Here, she earned a BA in Management of Human Resources from Colorado Christian University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. In 2003, Lily received the U.S. Congressional Angel in Adoption Award as recognition of her outstanding contribution to the well-being of orphans around the world. She was inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in 2008.
Lily and Joshua are proud parents of their three grown children, Art, Amy, and Anna.
Joshua Zhong immigrated to the USA in 1986 to pursue his graduate and post-graduate theological studies. When China opened up to international adoption in 1992, Joshua and his wife, Lily, established CCAI to bring healing, hope and home to abandoned Chinese children.
Joshua’s passion for finding loving and permanent homes for as many orphans as possible has resulted in the successful adoption of more than 13,000 children, making CCAI one of the largest and most reputable international adoption agencies in the world. A visionary and an inspirational leader, Joshua has guided alongside Lily the steady expansion of CCAI through its adoption programs in Haiti, Bulgaria, Latvia, Ukraine, Taiwan and Colombia; by reaching out to orphans who remain behind in the orphanages through international charitable services; and by providing continued cultural and emotional support to adoptees and their families.
Joshua and Lily received the U.S. Congressional Angel in Adoption Award in 2003 for their dedication to finding loving homes for orphans. The couple has been happily married for thirty-six years and have three wonderful children, Art, Amy, and Anna.
