At CCAI, our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that every child deserves a loving home and that every family deserves support. We understand the importance of keeping biological families together whenever possible, recognizing the profound impact it can have on the lives of children and their loved ones.

Recently, we had the opportunity to contribute significantly towards renovating a family meeting room at FANA in Colombia. FANA, an organization dedicated to the welfare of children and families, identified the need for a suitable space where families could come together, connect, and receive support.

About FANA

Children from 0 months to 17 years old who live in FANA and are part of the “Restorations of Rights” program receive weekly visits from their biological families. Our efforts impacted an average of 65 kids, plus their families, employees from the psychosocial team, and caregivers.

Before our intervention, the room needed to be more conducive to fostering meaningful connections. It was dimly lit, outdated, and needed more furniture. This environment did not provide the necessary support for families during their most vulnerable moments.

With our donation, we aimed to transform this space into a haven of comfort and support. The renovated family meeting room is now a bright, well-lit, and clean environment, carefully designed to uplift the spirits of those who enter it. Equipped with comfortable furniture and engaging amenities, it serves as a welcoming space where families can come together under the support and supervision of FANA’s dedicated psychological team.

Having a nice visitor room or space where biological families can interact with their children under the Restoration of Rights program in FANA has several positive impacts:
