We are URGENTLY looking for a home study-ready family to come forward for JOH and VIO, as they will age out soon! Please help us spread the word and find these precious teens a family!
JOH and VIO were hosted summer of 2022 through CCAI’s hosting partner, Project One Forty-Three. Today, they are waiting for a loving, supportive family through our Colombia Program. These sisters have overcome many hurdles and are close, motivated, and unique!
17-year-old JOH
JOH is an accomplished student at 17, catching up after missing school due to life circumstances. Tidy, organized, and determined to do her best, adults love JOH’s sense of responsibility! In addition to her determination, JOH is independent, responsible, autonomous, and friendly.
JOH prefers the country over big cities and loves animals. On weekends she walks with her foster family to the park, plays board games, watches movies, and goes for long bike rides. Her favorite activities include biking, crafts and camping! On top of that, she dreams of traveling to Paris someday!
15-year-old VIO
VIO is a 15-year-old teen that loves anime and Japanese culture. Like her sister, she loves to study and excels in school, is usually first in her class & makes school a priority. JOH has a strong personality yet is flexible and affectionate.
VIO is very close with her sister and enjoys arts, crafts, and sports. She also loves learning new languages and is studying Japanese. When she grows up, she hopes to become a Veterinarian. She also dreams of traveling to Japan and trying Ramen!
JOH and VIO’s biggest wish is to be adopted by a loving family where they can stay together!
Adopting older children comes with unique challenges. Read some adoption stories about older child adoption. To learn more about JOH and VIO, please get in touch with our Colombia team.
In light of the many children in need of a permanent and loving family, CCAI launched its Colombia adoption program in 2020. Children eligible for adoption from Colombia tend to be older with varying degrees of medical needs. These resilient and hopeful children bring with them their rich and unique culture and history!
