Gael needs an adoptive family

More than anything, 13-year-old Gael needs an adoptive family! Gael is known for his collaborative nature, resilience, and ability to follow instructions.  He adapts well to routines, activities, and guidelines.  While maintaining a basic level in most subjects, he needs to enhance his skills in languages, mathematics, social sciences, and computer science, as indicated by his academic report.

Gael feels joy when adults recognize his achievements and thrives in environments where he feels appreciated and cared for.  Outdoor activities, especially those involving competition, are strong motivators for him.  However, when playing with younger children, Gael is not always kind and needs an adult to help him with self-awareness.

When Gael faces challenges with unpredictable situations, like meeting new dogs, he overcomes this fear when accompanied by an adult.  He prefers outdoor games, soccer, basketball, and interaction with technology, including televisions and computers, showcasing his diverse interests.  Gael’s clothing choices reflect a desire for comfort, often opting for sweatpants and jeans, occasionally rolled up in his boots.

Notably skilled in plasticine art, Gael enjoys crafting figures and dolls reminiscent of cartoons.  His adeptness in crafts extends to sports, with a particular affinity for soccer.

Gael envisions an adoptive family as a sanctuary where he can experience calmness, comfort, safety, and care from the adults around him.  His deepest desire is a loving family that appreciates and recognizes his positive actions.  His ideal family could consist of a mom and dad or a single mom with or without children.

Overall, Gael seeks an opportunity to finally have a place he can call home, where he is cherished, cared for, and acknowledged for his positive actions.  In such an environment, Gael can truly thrive and find the love and support he yearns for.  Might you be Gael’s loving family?

Colombia Program

In light of the many children in need of a permanent and loving family, CCAI launched its Colombia adoption program in 2020. Children eligible for adoption from Colombia tend to be older with varying degrees of medical needs. These resilient and hopeful children bring with them their rich and unique culture and history!

CCAI’s parent preparation resources give families the tools to welcome a special child into their hearts and home. Our Colombia adoption program is a fast-growing, robust program that offers both traditional and host-to-adopt adoption options for children of all ages and sibling groups!
