In 2015, CCAI initiated its adoption program in Bulgaria, marking the beginning of a journey that has seen steady growth ever since. Similar to many intercountry adoption initiatives today, the Bulgarian program primarily focuses on placing older children, those with specific medical needs, and sibling groups. The demand is particularly high for families willing to embrace children aged 8 and above, as well as those with medical conditions. Remarkably, families open to adopting children with Down syndrome often find matches within a short span of 3 to 6 months after submitting their dossier.
CCAI is dedicated to equipping prospective parents with the necessary resources to effectively embrace a special child into their lives and homes. The Bulgaria program continues to thrive, and CCAI warmly extends an invitation to families to explore profiles of some of the many children eagerly awaiting their forever families.
